Glittertind BC Boot
Bulking up its backcountry heritage, the new Glittertind BC is ready for deeper snow and wilder terrain.
Built for going up and down hills on rolling steeper terrain, the new Glittertind BC backcountry ski boot features a stiffer forefoot flex and greater torsional rigidity for easy steering of the Gillertind and Eon Skis. In designing the ideal supportive boot, we combined some of the best lessons from our world-class skate boots - a higher cuff and new heel counter - for more stiffness and performance.
The waterproof/breathable bootie, Thinsulate™ and the MemBrain® softshell lace cover will keep you warm, dry and comfortable during your off-trail adventures. A redesigned flex notch allows fantastic forward movement at the ankle, while the hinged plastic cuff, instep powerstrap and locking, ratcheted cuff buckle provide all the skiing power you'll need.
For making your own tracks, the Gilltertind BC's high-collared gaiter and quick-release drawstring will plow through even the deepest untracked snow.
MemBrain® Softshell ConstructionMadshus boots feature MemBrain® softshell and hybrid constructions, allowing the boot to comfortably conform to the contours of the foot while providing durability, waterproof protection, breathability, and warmth.
PVC-FreeIn keeping with Madshus' ongoing commitment to protect the winter world, Madshus has introduced the best-fitting and most breathable boots yet, in a totally PVC-Free construction that lessens our impact on the winter world around us.
Lacing FingersProviding the best-fitting Nordic boots requires a lacing system that secures the entire foot. Madshus' Lacing Fingers reach far below the boot's visible lacing system to the bottom of the boot, securing the forefoot laterally and medially with balanced lacing tension.
NNN OutsoleMadshus boots use the Rottefella NNN binding interface. With two guide rails and a broader binding plate, NNN offers maximum stability and control over the ski. The close contact between the boot, binding and ski (especially with the NIS plate system) provides optimal power transfer for a more efficient stride.
