Madshus Skis Multicore Technology

Multicore

Multicore is a high-durability Madshus wood core laminated together to optimize the camber lifetime of the ski. Multicore gives extra strength and liveliness to the ski, and it is shaped to fit the ski profile, minimizing the excess use of glue in the ski's production.
Madshus Skis Omnitrak® Waxless Base Technology

Omnitrak® Waxless Base

The Omnitrak® waxless base is used on Madshus Cross Country Downhill skis. Engineered with five zones, the Omnitrak® base uses round, spaced scales in transition zones for a smoother, more efficient glide and sharp, tight scales underfoot for maximum grip. With its rounded transition shapes and positive edge setting, the Omnitrak® base provides optimal climbing versatility and a smooth turn on firmer snow.

Comments about Madshus Annum MGV - Omni Ski:

I use it for slope skiing, alpine touring, powder skiing, BC skiing.
The set-up is a Voilé 3-pin Hard-Wire binding combo with Crispi Svartissen shoes.
It's just great fun using it !!!
Bottom line :
I would just like to have it à bit larger (115/80/100), longer : 198 cm with a rocker à the tip and a better quality gliding sole matérial (with scales of course !). Can you do that ?

Good ski poor climber

By Professor

from Upstate NY

About Me Intermediate

Pros

  • Durable
  • Good Carving Ability
  • Good Flotation
  • Good Turning
  • Great Flotation

Cons

  • Climbs Poorly
  • Poor Grip

Best Uses

Comments about Madshus Annum MGV - Omni Ski:

Climbs poorly. May be too long, but this is the shortest size available. 165 Karhus climbed fine. Need better scales & shorter skis for all the women & teenagers who would like to enjoy them.
