With two World Championships last and the return of the FIS cross-country World Cup last weekend, there was plenty of action all around.

At the FIS cross-country U23/Junior World Championships in Lygna (NOR), Madshus racer Johannes Lønnestad Flaaten (NOR) takes home two medals from the FIS Junior World Championships. First, Flaaten helped Norway to silver in the relay on Tuesday, and on Sunday he capped his home turf championship week with a gold medal in the sprint.

Also on Sunday, and also on home turf, Krista Pärmäkoski hauled into third place in the 10-kilometer classic event at the FIS World Cup in Lahti, Finland. Last week, the 31-year-old veteran returned from the 2022 Olympics in Beijing with the bronze medal the 10-kilometer classic.

The 2022 Biathlon Youth and Junior World Championships, opened on February 24 in Soldier Hollow, Utah (USA). So far, Madshus racers have bagged medals in both the youth and junior categories. On February 24, Vetle Paulsen (NOR) earned the silver medal in the junior men’s 15-kilometer individual competition. On February 25, Jakob Kulbin (EST) won the gold medal in the youth men’s 7.5km sprint race. The biathlon World Championships continue through March 2.
