Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg and Heidi Weng were second and third, respectively, at the prestigious Oslo Ski Show this week, an annual fundraiser for cancer.
Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg is the reigning World Champion and Olympic Champion in the team sprint as well as Olympic silver medalist (2014) in the individual sprint. She had the fastest qualifying time, and won both her quarterfinal and the semifinal at the roller ski sprint in Oslo this week. Fellow Madshus racer Heidi Weng was third overall in the final.
Oestberg won the 2015 World Championship team sprint in Falun (SWE) with Maiken Caspersen Falla. Falla won the roller ski sprint in Oslo on Tuesday night.
Oslo Ski show is the Norwegian National Team annual fundraiser for cancer. All of the proceeds from the event are donated to the Active against cancer Foundation, which helps fund cancer research and establish entry-level training facilities for cancer patients in Norwegian hospitals. Oslo Ski Show is a roller ski race for both the World Cup elite, as well as corporate teams, and was organized for the fifth time.
