Also this weekend, Astrid Øyre Slind (NOR) opens her marathon season with two podiums at the Ski Classics. The 30-year-old, who won the 2018 Ski Classics Nordic trophy, was second in both the Pro Team Prologue and the Individual Prologue at the 2019 Ski Classics season opener in Livigno, Italy. On Sunday, she was only two seconds from winning the first individual race. On Friday, Slind was less than 10 seconds from the top of the podium in the women’s team prologue.
The next Ski Classics event is the Kaiser Maximilian Lauf in Austria on January 12.
