Making at statement at the World Cup

Madshus racers are kicking off their season with podiums and career best performances in both biathlon and cross-country.

The season is off to a solid start for Madshus racers across the board.

For starters, Madshus biathletes shine at the World Cup season opener in Kontiolahti (FIN).

On Friday, Sturla Holm Lægreid (NOR) helped Norway to victory in the relay, while Roman Rees and Benedict Dollhelped Germany to second place.

On Saturday, Lægreid and Rees pulled into second and third place, respectively in the sprint.

And on Sunday, Lægreid bags his third podium in three days, finishing second in the pursuit on Sunday. What a way to kick off the biathlon season!

At FIS cross-county World Cup in Lillehammer, rising Swedish star Edvin Anger cruised into fourth place in his first ever World Cup sprint final on Saturday. The 20-year-old, who is just entering his first season at the senior level, was two tenths of a second from the podium.

At the same time, Ben Ogden (USA) won his quarterfinal and was third in his semifinal. He ended up seventh overall in the Lillehammer sprint race.

And finally, on Sunday, Krista Pärmäkoski pulls into fourth place in the 20km classic mass start in Lillehammer, capping off the first of two World Cup weekends in Norway this month. Next up is Beitostølen on December 9 to 11.
