There are plenty of reasons to be excited for the new ski season.
For starters, Madshus introduces 3 new ski models to the medal-winning Redline series: The Redline Zero, the Redline Classic LTD & the Redline Skate LTD.
Additionally, the Redline boots have been updated for the 2022/23 season with several key features to improve both performance and comfort.
SKIS: Redline Zero and the Redline Classic LTD
What is it?
The two new World Cup-level specialty models round out the Redline classic lineup, designed and developed to handle even the trickiest varieties of wet and warm conditions.
Why it’s a big deal?
The Redline Zero is designed to provide perfect grip and outstanding glide on glazed tracks, in high humidity with wet, falling precipitation at and around freezing: When klister is too much and hard wax won’t do. We got you covered.
The Redline Zero features a unique rubberized base material in the grip zone. Instead of kick wax, the texture of the base in the grip is roughened with sand paper, to provide better kick than hard wax, and deliver better glide than klister while at the same time reducing the risk of icing. Adjust the grip using various grain sand paper, depending on the conditions of the day: roughen the surface for more grip, smooth it out for less.
The Redline Classic LTD comes with Madshus’ revolutionary green bases, which earned championship medals in both cross-country and biathlon the very first season on the snow. The green-base technology delivers unmatched performance on coarse snow in wet and warm conditions: The coarser, wetter and warmer the conditions, the better they glide.
The green bases were first introduced last season, but only in the skate model. The new Redline Classic LTD is the classic version with the green-base technology. The Redline Classic LTD is designed with the tallest camber of all our classic skis, perfectly tuned for klister conditions, which is where this ski will shine.
In fact, the green bases are such a big deal that we celebrate with launching then as a special, limited edition. For the 2022-23 season, the both the skate and the classic models come with purple graphics as bold as the green bases: Redline Classic LTD and Redline Skate LTD.
In short:
Green bases - because they’re fresh, fluoro-free and flashingly fast.
Purple graphics - well. Because we think this is a big deal.
Who should get them?
Both the Redline Zero and the Redline Classic LTD are specialty models featuring the pinnacle of World Cup technology, but remain just that: specialty models designed to fill very specific needs. Consider them your special weapon for special conditions.
