The Paralympic cross-country skier Birgit Skarstein competes at the top international level in rowing during the summer, and is on a roll this season.
She first set a new world record for the 2000 meter in Belgrade on June 1, but then slashed her own record by 23 seconds at the para-rowing World Cup in Linz, Austria, according to World Rowing. Skarstein, who is the reigning World Champion in Para-rowing, is aiming to reduce her times even further at the upcoming World Championships in Bulgaria later this season.
