Madshus Marathon Team racer Oeystein Pettersen (NOR) takes advantage of the local track in his summer training.
Pettersen and his training buddies did 10 x 1000meters, with a start every six minutes.
“It’s been a long time since my last track workout, but track intervals make great intensity workouts for skier,” Pettersen says, adding that he’s not considering changing careers.
“With these spits: 3.11- 3.07 – 3.04 – 3.06 – 3.03 – 3.05 – 3.06 – 3.10 – 3.07 – 3.03, I have no business entering track competitions,” he says with a laugh.
“But since I have never done these before, 3:03 is indeed a personal record,” he noted in his Instagram update.
