Madshus racer Heidi Weng won the overall title in the 2012 Norwegian rollerski cup. She capped the roller ski season with a couple of impressive podium finishes at the Blink Summer Ski festival last weekend, as well as a second place in the uphill time trial Lysebotn Opp in southern Norway on July 19.
Weng, who had her major breakthrough on the World Cup last season, won the season by 100 points after delivering podium finishes at each and every race in the Norwegian roller ski cup this summer. She opened the 2012 roller ski cup with a third place finish at Oslo Ski Show on June 12, followed up with one win and two second place performances at Toppidrettsveka June 20-23, and finished the season with two second places and one third place last week.
