In the Ski Classics cross-country marathon cup, Astrid Øyre Slind (NOR) was second in the Marcialonga on Saturday – just narrowly beat in the final few hundred meters after leading most of the 70-kilometer race in Italy. Despite being beat by her teammate on the last stretch, Øyre Slind remains the overall leader of the Ski Classics, even widening the gap to her competitors. She also tightened her grip on the overall climbing competition and took over the lead in the sprint competition. Additionally, Øyre Slind is leading the Alps Trophy competition by 75 points with one event remaining in the 6-race competition series.

Finally, Lars Ivar Skårset (NOR) took home two podium finishes from the Nordic Combined Continental Cup at Rena (NOR). On Saturday, he was third in the large hill/10-kilometer competition. Then he won the race on Sunday, also a large hill/10-kilometer competition.
