The talented Frenchman is joining Madshus.

Ever since he started cross-country skiing, the Frenchman has used a different brand. However, he is now switching to Madshus.

Victor Lovera is switching brands and starting afresh - with a new ski sheet, new ski boots and new hopes of competing among the world's elite. From this season onwards, the 25-year-old will compete on Madshus skis and ski boots.

Moving up 105 places in the World Cup

Before last year's season, Lovera's best position in the World Cup was 27th place in the 10-kilometer freestyle in Les Rousses in 2023.

This winter, he entered the World Cup squad after finishing seventh at the same distance on home soil, taking a further 8th, 13th and 17th place in the World Cup. He made it to the World Championships in Trondheim where he made his championship debut in 21st place in the five-mile race, and moved up 105 places in the World Cup overall.

A talent for the future

Lovera is now aiming for the 2026 Olympics in Italy as one of ten men's skiers on the French elite national team. And he's taking that step with a brand new ski sheet.

"We're proud to have Victor as part of our team. He's a rising star and will be an important contributor to our product development, while also aiming for the 2026 Olympics in Milan/Cortina and the 2027 World Championships in Falun,"

A host of French skiers

Lovera is one of several French skiers who have switched to Madshus in recent seasons. Last year, they included Jules Chappaz and Melissa Gal, as well as biathlon star Emilien Jacquelin.
