Madshus racers delivered solid results at the FIS U23/Junior Nordic World Championships in Lahti (FIN), taking home five medals, including three gold medals in the relays.

First out, Helene Marie Fosseholm (NOR) earned the silver medal in the 5km skate race on Tuesday. Two years younger than her top competitors at the event, Fosseholm was just 11 seconds from the gold in the 5km skate race, which was the first of the distance events in Lahti.

Two days later, Fosseholm followed up with another silver medal in the 15-kilometer classic event. Finally, she capped her first Junior World Championships with a gold medal as she and fellow Madshus racer Astrid Stav helping Norway to victory in the 4×3.3-kilometer relay on Saturday, January 26.

Stav also takes home two solid top-10 finishes: she was eighth in the 5-kilometer skate race on Tuesday and seventh in the 15-kilometer on Thursday.

Also on Saturday, Madshus racer Ben Ogden helped the United States to gold in the men’s 4×7.5-kilometer relay in Lahti. Ogden was also top 10 in both the other events he raced at the World Championships: eighth place in the classic sprint, which was the first competition at the Lahti championships, and tenth in the 30-kilometer classic on Thursday.
