Madshus regrets to announce that two of our most successful racers the past few years, Heidi Weng (NOR) and Hans Christer Holund (NOR), are not renewing their contracts with Madshus but have decided to continue their careers with different partners.
At Madshus, we are proud of the progress, accomplishments and victories they have achieved throughout their years with us.
Heidi’s progress and impressive results, including double victories in both the overall World Cup and the Tour de Ski the last seasons – on skis made in Norway.
Hans Christer’s amazing victory in the 50km skate race at the 2019 FIS World Championships in Seefeld, Austria, is also a performance for the history books – on skis made in Norway.
Despite our disappointment that these two racers are not continuing their careers with us, Madshus and the Madshus racing team stick to our ambitious long-term goal of at least ten Olympic medals at the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China – on skis made in Norway. While a lofty goal, this is attainable.
And the future is bright, indeed. Madshus is proud to announce that we have never had a more promising team of aspiring, ambitious young talents. Cross-country racers such as Vebjørn Turtveit, Harald Østberg Amundsen and Helene Marie Fossesholm have already proven their potential many times over at the international level.

On the biathlon side, the Madshus development team roster is equally strong. Our young racers, including Vebjørn Sørum, Sivert Bakken and Jørgen Krogsæther, took home several medals at the IBU Cup as well as the IBU Youth & Junior World Championships, and Madshus athletes make up a large part of the national teams.

Additionally, Madshus continues to work with leading international racers such as Krista Pärmäkoski (FIN), Benedikt Doll (GER) and Alexander Bessmertnykh (RUS) and many others.
We are confident that a Nordic ski manufacturer with more than a century of experience, craftsmanship, pride and knowledge engineered into our products – made in Norway – will continue to gain market shares.
