The Redline Classic K1 is a world-class classic ski designed for reliable grip and the optimal snow contact in cold and fine snow conditions. The ski features our Carbon Power Wrap core construction and the new Power Edge which is a durable, offset edge designed for maximum stability and edge control. A low camber construction with the highest point of the camber positioned close to the balance point of the ski combined with longer snow contact areas provides reliable grip and optimal snow contact in cold and fine snow conditions. The low camber is ideal for thin applications of hard grip waxes and excels when racing in cold, new-snow conditions as it maximizes the surface area of the wax pocket and helps maintain easy access to grip when the snow is loosely packed, as is often the case in new and falling snow conditions. To further optimize for these snow conditions, the pressure zones of the Redline Classic K1 are relatively long, helping to distribute the skier’s weight more evenly and reduce the local pressure of the base against the snow. As with all our other Redline classic skis, the camber of the Redline Classic K1 is developed to react dynamically to the force you generate. The wax pocket is designed to remain open during double poling, for near-frictionless glide, and to close quickly as weight is shifted to the ball of the foot during the kicking phase. This construction ensures snappy access to grip right when you need it in the stride, maximizing the total forward propulsion that can be generated. The Redline Classic K1 is built with one goal in mind: to get you to the finish line first.
