K2-MDV Team conquered the 50th Engadiner Ski Marathon in Switzerland.

In 1969 the starting gun of the Engadiner cross-country ski marathon was fired for the first time. In those days, around 900 participants took the challenge to run the 42 km (26 miles) from Maloja to Zouz. 50 years later, around 13.000 participants from 60 countries come to Switzerland, making this cross-country event the second largest of its kind.

During the weekend of March 10th, 2018 a K2-MDV team participated in the Engadin, including CEO and President of K2-MDV Holding, Christoph Bronder, Nils Hult, Managing Director of Madshus Norway, Peter Kuba, Managing Director of K2 Europe, Stefan Stankalla, former World Cup ski racer, who currently manages the European sales department of K2, and Thomas Klein, the Madshus sales manager of K2 Europe.

Equipped with the latest Madshus skis, all members of our Madshus team made it to the finish line, despite the wind and light snowfall. Christoph Bronder was able to test the industry’s newest innovation; Madshus’ Redline Classic IntelliGrip ski, equipped with Rottefella’s MOVE binding, which is available in Europe and will be hit U.S. shops this fall. The binding was presented at ISPO in Munich in January 2018. Rottefella’s MOVE binding allows classic cross-country skiers to adjust the position of the binding according to the terrain without taking the skis off. Moving the binding forward on the ski improves the grip, while moving the binding back will increase the glide.
